Q: What do I need to bring on a ride or a skills session?
A: For any YYCMTB ride, you will need your bike, helmet, water, a snack and a spare tube at the very minimum. We also recommend bringing extra protective equipment like gloves, knee pads, elbow pads and eye protection. It is also a good idea to plan for the worst case scenarios by bringing a rain jacket, extra clothes and a small tool kit/multi tool.
Q: Do I need to sign up when I plan on attending a Season's Pass ride?
A: YES! On team snap, you can select whether on not you be attending a specific ride. We need to know who will be coming to each ride so we ensure we have enough coaches present.
Q: I am not receiving the group chat messages in TeamSnap. What am I doing wrong?
A: You need to have the TeamSnap mobile app installed to get team chat notifications. We do a lot of our communication via the team chat. You will receive email notifications if we make changes to the schedule, but you will not receive email notifications about the team chat.
Q: Will we be riding if it rains or the trails are wet?
A: We do our best to ride, rain or shine. We are good at choosing trials that are appropriate for different moisture levels. However, we do occasionally cancel rides if we can not mitigate damage to the trails or it is just too miserable.
Q: I'm worried about the condition of my bike. Do you have rentals?
A: We don't have our own rental fleet, but RIdley's Cycle has awesome demos! Contact them to see what they have available. Trying one of their demos is also a good way to figure out what you need it you are in the market for a new bike.
Q: Who or what is “1495295 Ab Ltd.”? It shows up as the payee when I am paying for things via PayPal
A: 1495295 Ab Ltd is the legal corporation number for YYCMTB. Don't be alarmed.
